Biotest Intratect 50 g/L Solution for Infusion is a human normal immunoglobulin (IVIg) medicine containing 50 mg of human normal immunoglobulin per mL. It provides antibodies obtained from human plasma and is administered intravenously under medical supervision.
It is used as replacement therapy in certain primary or secondary immunodeficiencies and as immunomodulatory treatment for conditions such as immune thrombocytopenia, Guillain-Barré syndrome, Kawasaki disease, CIDP and multifocal motor neuropathy, depending on the approved indication and patient's condition.

How To Use
- Intratect must be administered intravenously by a doctor or nurse; it is not intended for self-administration.
- The dose is determined by the healthcare professional according to the patient's condition, body weight and clinical response.
- The infusion is normally started at a slow rate, which may be gradually increased if tolerated.
- The solution should be brought to room or body temperature before administration.
- The solution should be clear or slightly opalescent and colourless to pale yellow. Do not use it if it is cloudy or contains deposits.
- Do not mix Intratect with other medicines or other IVIg products unless specifically permitted by the product information.
- Store according to the manufacturer's instructions: do not store above 25°C and do not freeze; protect the vial from light.
